The Kogi Branch of the Nigerian Red Cross Society pay an advocacy visit to Ikumo Community, in Kogi Local Government Areas of Kogi State.

The Kogi Branch of the Nigerian Red Cross Society pay an advocacy visit to Ikumo Community, in Kogi Local Government Areas of Kogi State. Yesterday the The 14th February 2022.

Ikumo Community have above 2,000 thousand people including the men, children and women who are more in number in the Community.

During the advocacy visit the Branch Secretary, Alhaji Dan Usman sensitized the Community on the history, activities and the seven principles of the Nigerian Red Cross Society ( Humanity,Impartiality, Neutrality, Independence, Voluntary service,Unity,and University) that every good Volunteers need to in bibe while carrying out Red Cross activities.

Furthermore; the BS said the purpose of the visit is to unveil the ONE BILLION COLLATION PROJECT starting with Community Engagement and Accountability (CEA) and having Flood Resilient plan for the community.
 Resilience Committee was formed, they are :
1.Chief Abdullahi Yahaya Community Leader -Chairman
2.Jibril Ahmed Haruna ( Religious leader) -member
3.Abdullahi Hajara (Women Leader) -member
4.Abubakar Jibril ( Youth Leader) -member
5.Dauda Abdulrahman - Secretary.
12 Community Volunteers where equally selected that will kick CEA and Environmental safety activities in the community.
At the end of the visit the Community through the leader thank the Red Cross for choosing their community to work with.
Prayers were offered for the successful visit.
